A Comprehensive Review of Artificial Intelligence Based Algorithms Regarding Temporomandibular Joint Related Diseases

Today, with rapid advances in technology, computer-based studies and Artificial Intelligence (AI) approaches are finding their place every field, especially the medical sector, where they attract great attention. The Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) stands as most intricate joint within human body, diseases related to this quite common. In paper, we reviewed that utilize AI-based algorithms computer-aided programs for investigating TMJ TMJ-related diseases. We conducted a literature search on Google Scholar, Web of Science, PubMed without any time constraints exclusively selected English articles. Moreover, examined references papers directly topic matter. As consequence survey, total 66 articles defined scope were assessed. These distributed across various areas, 11 focusing segmentation, 3 Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA), 10 Osteoarthritis (OA), 21 Disorders (TMD), 6 decision support systems, reviews, 5 sound studies. observed trend indicates growing interest artificial intelligence algorithms, suggesting number field will likely continue expand future.
